Delete your account from within the app
DocAZ account deletion is self-service and available directly in the app - no need to contact anyone:
- Open DocAZ and sign in if you aren't already.
- Tap the account icon (top-right of Home).
- Tap Delete account near the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Your account is deleted immediately - there is no waiting period.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes your DocAZ sign-in (email/password or Google sign-in link) and any account-linked cloud data, such as your Premium subscription status record.
What isn't affected
DocAZ is built to work fully on your device without an account. Documents, folders, tags, and reminders stored locally on your phone are not deleted when you delete your account - they stay on your device, encrypted, exactly as before. If you also want to remove your local documents, use Settings to delete them individually, or uninstall the app.
If you have an active Premium subscription purchased through Google Play, deleting your DocAZ account does not automatically cancel the subscription - manage or cancel it separately from Google Play's subscriptions page.
Delete specific documents or data, without deleting your account
You don't need to delete your account to remove individual data - this is available at any time from within the app:
- A single document: tap the ⋯ menu on the document and choose Delete. It moves to Trash, then is permanently removed after 30 days - or immediately from Trash with Delete forever.
- Folders, tags, or reminders: each has its own Delete option from its ⋯ menu or long-press selection.
- Everything at once: uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data immediately.
If Premium cloud sync is on, deleting a document, folder, tag, or reminder removes it from your synced cloud copy as well, on the same schedule.
Can't sign in?
If you can no longer sign in to request deletion yourself, email contact@docaz.app from the address associated with your account and we'll process the deletion manually.
